Dog.io: The Peanut Butter Collective Demo is out now on itch.io!
Here is all of the Content that has been added to this enhanced experience of Dog.io:
New Tutorial World
There is a new world that has been added to the game, where you can experiment with what you have, and where you can learn how to play the game.
New Title Screen
There is a new title screen that has been added to the game, where you can select which game you want to play.
New Gameplay Features
There are new features that have been added to the game to enhance the game experience!
There is a new Bone Spin Ability, that allows you to throw and spin your bone weapon wildly around the map, decimating many enemies for a few seconds. The Coin Counter that usually appears in your Settings Menu, will now appear while you play the game, so you can keep an eye on how many coins you have. Also, some worlds in the game now have to be bought with coins, this is to make the game just a little bit more difficult to progress through, some changes to the pricing of worlds will be made in the next update if needed.
New Music
There is now New Music that has been put in replacement of the Old Music from the Original Scratch Version of Dog.io. The reason for this change is because the Old Music wouldn't have worked with Steam or with the original makers of those tracks as they aren't very Copyright Friendly... So in place, I have replaced them with my own versions of what I would envision those worlds sounding like!
New QOL Features
There are some QOL Features that some people have requested that I add, and some that I just wanted to add just because they would make the game look better.
The player is now given 3 Seconds of Invincibility after the countdown for each time you play a round. This have been requested by people as sometimes people can be instantly killed, even with the 3 second countdown that was originally put there to solve this issue. So hopefully this issue of instant death has been solved.
There are new buttons that have been added to some settings menus to link you to certain websites. This was a feature I wanted to add but couldn't as Scratch is very limiting. Thank you TurboWarp for being a much better Scratch.
New announcements can be made to our Discord Server thanks to this new feature!
Each time you open something rare from eggs in the shop, a Discord Webhook request gets sent to our Server to announce to everyone that someone has hatched a specific pet!
Lots of sprites in the game kinda look... iffy.
So some sprites have been given a better look, some examples are the Vial of Disruption sprite in the shop, and Ultra C0RRUPT10N'5 sprites.
A visual improvement has been added to the "Party" Stage, as Autumn Leaves now fall in the stage.
It is now much easier to save your progress as your save code is now saved to your files as a .txt file, so next time you want to load in your skins, you can open up the .txt file with your save code and put it in without needing to keep the code in your clipboard.
Hope you enjoy these changes that have been made to Dog.io! (Dog.io: TPBC is now the version of Dog.io where all changes will be pushed and the Browser/Scratch versions of the game will effectively not get any more updates. A silent update will be pushed to those games to redirect players of the Browser/Scratch versions of Dog.io/Cat.io to The Peanut Butter Collective Demo.)
The Next Update will be out (hopefully) soon...
